Another post about us southerners...
"FRIENDS" VS. "SOUTHERN FRIENDS"
FRIENDS: Never ask for food.
SOUTHERN FRIENDS: Always bring food and eat yours too.
FRIENDS: Will say "hello".
SOUTHERN FRIENDS: Will give you a big hug and a kiss.
FRIENDS: Call your parents Mr. and Mrs.
SOUTHERN FRIENDS: Call your parents Mom and Dad
FRIENDS: Have never seen you cry.
SOUTHERN FRIENDS: Cry with you.
FRIENDS: Will eat at your dinner table and leave.
SOUTHERN FRIENDS: Will spend hours there, talking, laughing, and just being together.
FRIENDS: Know a few things about you.
SOUTHERN FRIENDS: Could write a book with direct quotes from you.
FRIENDS: Will leave you behind if that's what the crowd is doing.
SOUTHERN FRIENDS: Will whip the whole crowd that left you!!
FRIENDS: Are for a while.
SOUTHERN FRIENDS: Are for life.
Have a great weekend ya'll and know that I am your Southern Friend!!

Southern friends will also feed you and your whole family, then send you home with the best Hot Jam this side of the Mason-Dixon and homemade bread to slather it on. :)
ReplyDeleteJulie,
ReplyDeleteYou are SO funny! I guess that means you liked the hot jam :) Be careful - it can be addicting...my oldest son is still trying to get me to can 52 jars of the hot strawberry every year ....just for HIM! I think not :)
Blessings,
cheri
