“God is not a belief to which you give your assent. God becomes a reality whom you know intimately, meet everyday, one whose strength becomes your strength, whose love, your love. Live this life of the presence of God long enough and when someone asks you, “Do you believe there is a God?” you may find yourself answering, “No, I do not believe there is a God. I know there is a God.” ~Ernest Boyer, Jr.
We do not get involved in sin to create problems...we do so to fill a void in our lives that we're not allowing God to fill.
“It is not what we say or feel that makes us what we are. It is what we do.....or fail to do.” Marianne, BBC 2007 production of Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility” ~Andrew Davies
"A man who lies to himself, and believes his own lies, becomes unable to recognize truth, either in himself or in anyone else, and he ends up losing respect for himself and for others. When he has no respect for anyone, he can no longer love, and in him, he yields to his impulses, indulges in the lowest form of pleasure, and behaves in the end like an animal in satisfying his vices. And it all comes from lying to others and to yourself."~ Dostoevsky
I may not comment often, but I am a faithful reader of yours...I lift you up before our Heavenly Father, that HIS will be done! That you be surrounded by HIS peace and confidence because you trust in HIM, not man! That HIS presence is very real to you (and everyone!) in that courtroom today!
ReplyDeleteThe LORD bless you

and give you peace.

Praying in MO that God would be glorified through these proceedings, that your boys would be protected through continued homeschooling and that your focus will continue to be on God and what He is doing in your life. Hardships are often opportunities to grow in our faith.

ReplyDeleteMuch love. Our Father never forsakes His children. He will provide all your needs, and your brothers and sisters in Christ will be His hands and feet to you and your children.
