Y'all are invited!

This Tuesday...July 22nd...my house...7:00 p.m.!

Has this ever been done before? Will this be a new Internet phenomenon? Want to be a part?

Let me tell you more. I have this sweet friend named Brandy. Brandy is a young mama to 3 littles - all under the age of 5. She is such a good mama! To help make ends meet, and to enjoy a few minutes of "adult" conversation, Brandy has become a Pampered Chef consultant.

Truthfully, I didn't know what Pampered Chef was when she told me. I've never been to a party but I wanted to do this to encourage Brandy. Since then, many women have told me what great products they have...I can't wait to see myself! Don't know how it all works (I was surprised when I was given a shopping list!) but I know we will be eating, laughing and having fun!

So...here's my plan....ssshhhhhh....quiet now.....I am hoping to bless Brandy's socks off with this party! If you are in my local area...please join us. I know that Brandy will be cooking some things and I plan on making some of my herbed cheese and crackers, some hot blackberry cheese, some delicious pound cake and many other things (guess what I'll be doing on Monday?!). I'd love to surprise her with lots of guests and great sales. They live north of us about an hour but are moving in a week or two into our area. Let's make this an awesome welcoming party!! You'll even get to meet this lady! I've been told that if you bring a friend you get a free gift...so grab someone and bring them along! Just drop me an email or phone me and let me know you are coming! (My boys think I've lost my mind!!)

If you aren't local and would love to bless Brandy, we are having a "virtual party" too! You can order directly from her by going to her website and clicking on "Order Products". A window will pop up and you can fill in my name (Cheri Shelnutt) and proceed from there.

I also need your input....do you love Pampered Chef? I'm really flying blind here since I've never used their products or shopped their catalog.... so leave me a comment and tell me what your favorite product is...which product is a must in your kitchen...which is the greatest time saver?

I'll be posting pictures after the party of how much fun we had...who was there...what we ate... all the details :) Perhaps we'll make internet history :)

We'll eat, visit, talk, eat, laugh and really enjoy ourselves (did I mention that there would be lots of food?) ...y'all come!!!

  1. wow, my mom had a pampered chef party about 5 years ago! I went and I honestly like the ice cream scoop better than anything... its awesome. I am going to give Brandy's website to my mom... she is wanting some new things from Pampered Chef :)

    You'll definitely have fun!

  2. the must haves ~ these are all little, inexpensive items, but they are SO much better than what you can get at Walmart!

vegetable peeler ~ buy 1 for every kitchen helper that you have!

the little white paring knife - cheap ones from WM do NOT compare!

the square-ish brown stoneware scrapers - you can NOT beat these for scraping stuck on cheese, or anything else, off of your baking pans

the citrus zester - now, I'll admit, I've never had a 'cheap' one of these, so they may not be any more special than others, but I know the P.C. one works like a charm

    The pizza cutter is great

I, personally am not a huge stoneware fan, but I have a girlfriend who absolutely loves the stoneware muffin pans & mini bread pan (I think it makes four mini loaves in one pan)

I wish I could tell you of some really big ticket items that I just can't live without, perhaps others will have favorite big items, but these little gadgets are all ones I'd have to replace with P.C. if they ever disappeared from my kitchen.....

oh - you know what else is great ~ their can opener. It didn't last quite as long as I would have thought, but while it worked, it was super!
hope this helps you out & I hope you are able to really bless Brandy!

  3. Amanda,
Ooohhh....we have been looking for an ice cream scooper - none of them seem to work well. I'm making a list!

    Tracy,
What a great list! I'll especially look for the veggie peeler...and the pizza cutter!

  4. Hey Cheri,

I'm a guy, but I love every Pampered Chef product we own, except one. Their large glass measuring cup does not pour very well, but they may have improved it since we bought ours 10 years ago. The ladies above hit the nail on the head with the ice cream scoop, stoneware scraper and vegi peeler. These are absolute must haves. Their stoneware is fantastic, but our family has grown to large to use them much. We do have (and LOVE!) their gingerbread town and train Christmas set. It was frivoluous, but it sure is fun!

You, your young men and your mom are often in our prayers.

  5. HI- We like the ice cream scoop and the brown scrapers!
I also like the stoneware pans. I use one of the large bar pans for making braided loaves of challah.
I hope you have a wonderful time.

  6. Matt and Stacy,
It's wonderful to be learning how great these products are...

I can't express enough how much I am touched by your family's prayers. May our Father bless you richly!

  7. Cheri,

I use their stoneware 'jellyroll' sized pan quite often. I bought mine 6+ yrs ago and it is still in great shape. Since it's thick I can put it on the lower oven rack and things don't burn so quickly as they would with a regular baking pan. Maggie uses it for braided bread loaves (one at a time), I use it for pizza or anything I want to serve warm at the table since the stoneware holds the heat quite a while.

    Enjoy your party!!

  8. Hi Debbie!
What a great suggestion - I'll look for that pan. Sounds great for home made pizza which we make quite often.

Siah and I are working on a butter churning pictorial especially for you :) Hope to have it up before the end of this month.

    Hugs to all,
    Cheri

  9. Oh Cheri! With all you've got to do, you're doing a tutorial for me????!!! You're so sweet!! I hadn't heard about working the butter submerged in ice water before - I just rinsed it with the cold water and worked it with a butter paddle in a bowl. Can't wait for your post now!

Thanks again for everything you've taught me - you're such a blessing.

  10. AND THE WINNER IS......? I'm on the edge of my seat.

I love my PC chopper and three stone pieces: a 9x13, a round stone and a rectangular stone. The stones are wonderful for warming up leftovers; they warm gently and then retain heat when placed at the table on a trivet.

Oh, and I also have two round what looks like saucepans that go in my microwave to steam veggies. They are brownish and have vented lids, so I just put a tiny amount of water in with my garden fresh broccoli, asparagus, etc and then mic for a bit. A pat of real butter and some kosher salt, and voila.

Wish I could join you all!

  11. Melissa,
Winner will be announced on Monday :) I'll have to find out what a PC chopper is...and the stones sound wonderful.. This might have been a bad idea...y'all make everything sound wonderful!

Wish you were here too - we'd have a lot of fun!
    Blessings,
    Cheri

  12. silly me- I abbreviated. A PC chopper is a Pampered Chef chopper.

I'll be away from a computer until next Wed, so I'll enjoy the suspense til then!

  13. Cheri, I too love the chopper. It is so handy. I just put chunks of onion or green pepper or lots of other things on the cutting board put the chopper over it and whap it a few times and it is all chopped up. Great time saver. I also like their garlic press. It is heavy duty and you can use it with the peels still on, although, I still peel mine.

I will see if there is anything else I need.

  14. Also, I forgot, the meat tenderizer is VERY heavy and works like a charm!!!

  15. my mom just bought a chopper, she LOVES them! and I can hardly wait to hear the new name of the farm!!! :)

  16. Marci and Amanda,
The chopper sounds terrific! Even the boys are getting excited about this!

  17. Hi Cheri,
Wish I could fill my kitchen with Pampered Chef stuff, as their products are great. I admit I have picked up some items at garage sales -- I even found a garlic press that hadn't made its way out of the package! I love the chopper as well, and need to replace the clear piece around the blades before getting it back out again. They are helpful in replacing broken parts as well. My favorite items from them are their heavy duty cooling racks that can be stacked. They are made with small squares (with covered wires going both ways) so nothing falls through the cracks!

  18. Oh goody! I LOVE all my PC items! (I have a wonderful "extra mom" in my life that blesses me when she has doubles of PC items!!!) I wish I lived nearby and could come, so I guess I'll just have to order some online. I've heard WONDERFUL things about their stoneware and would really like to get a bread pan...I've heard it's very difficult to burn/overdo anything on their stoneware- it just cooks so evenly!

I have their can opener- it's awesome, opens cans so they don't have a sharp edge (my husband says he thinks it's impressive!)and I have a pitcher that has this handle that goes up and down and it stirs your drink mix up. Also their solids/liquids reversible measuring cup is really cool for measuring peanut butter for cookies. Have fun!!

  19. Lynn,
The best thing about all of this is that people I trust are recommending things...so I know it isn't hype! I must confess I haven't had time to look at the catalog that Brandy left me...but I have a great list from all of you to begin with :) Thanks for the recommendations...now if they only made something to tether down your homestead during tornado season ;)
    Love,
    Cheri

  20. Andrea,
I wonder how I have missed out on PC all of these year!? I had not idea they were so popular! The bread pans sound divine! Also the can opener....so more cut fingers!!
And a reversible measuring cup....going to go look that one up :)
    Blessings,
    Cheri

  21. Hi Cheri!

I was just updating my blog links and ended up clicking over here to your blog. You'll love Pampered Chef products! I had a party a few years ago, and have attended a couple. I've got the stoneware - pizza stone, bread pans, muffin pan, etc. I always bake my quick breads in the stoneware - makes a wonderful crust and texture that no other pan does! I love their spatulas, and have several of the covered measuring bowls, they're great!

Wish I could come to the party!!

  22. Hi Cheryl!
I was hoping you were coming with you Mom...I was counting on guidance from the two of you :)
    See you tomorrow evening!

  23. This party sounds like a blast! I won't be able to attend, living in WA State. I do however, expect to read a 'blog post' on the gathering, Cheri! ;o) I have no doubt, it will be an enjoyable time togher!

  24. Cheri,

Wish I could come; love what PC stuff I've used (except the oil sprayer and the soap foamer, which they realized they had problems with; they were very good about replacing them, but after I believe three of the foamers, I decided it wasn't worth trying to replace again. This, however, was quite a few years ago; if they still sell these items, I assume they have improved models.)

Main reason I'd like to come is to finally meed you and Julie. Maybe someday!

  25. Mary Susan,
It would be SO much fun. We need to have a bloggers weekend camp out....but since we all have animals that gathering might have to wait until we gather with the Father!!!
What great things we have to look forward to!!!
    Blessings,
    Cheri
