A Word from Voddie Baucham

http://www.voddiebaucham.org/vbm/Blog/Entries/2008/11/5_Is_it_Over.html

For those of you who do not know who Voddie Baucham is - he is a black man.  You can read more about him at: http://www.voddiebaucham.org/vbm/bio.html

The people have spoken.  Barack Hussein Obama has been elected the 44th President of the United States of America.  The Left Wing press is ecstatic, white guilt has been assuaged, Affirmative Action has been vindicated, and socialist Europe loves us again.  Now comes the rub... It ain’t over!  If you think this means that the “America is a racist society” crowd will have to shut up, you’ve got another thing coming.  In fact, watch the press closely in the coming days.  There will be a concerted effort to press the opposite point.  Jesse Jackson (who said he wanted to castrate Obama a couple of months ago because he had the audacity to call black fathers to account), Al Sharpton, and their ilk will argue that this is merely proof that policies like Affirmative Action work, and that such efforts need to be redoubled; not abandoned.  They believe we need to continue telling young black boys and girls that they are not smart enough, good enough, industrious enough, capable enough, and America is not ‘fair’ enough for them to succeed without special help that their white (or Asian) counterparts don’t need.

We must also be ready for the backlash.  Anyone who is not happy about an Obama presidency (or the leftist policies he, Pelosi, and Reid will attempt to cram down our throats) will be labeled racist.  Conservative evangelicals, who have opposed President-elect Obama and his policies from the beginning, will be met with cries of, “You’re just mad that a black man won.”  “Yes,” you say, “but I am not concerned with his ethnicity; I love all people... I don’t even see color.” Who cares?  If I’ve learned anything during the last several months it is that people do not pay attention to, or bother to interact with the written (or spoken) word.  It is much more convenient to erect strawmen and rely on ad hominem attacks.

The neo-Marxist left has achieved cultural hegemony.  Through the news media, government education, and the entertainment media, Americans have been shaped and molded into the kind of people who view Ron Paul as a political hack, while applauding gay marriage (one of the first lines out of Obama’s mouth last night was an acknowledgement of homosexuals), wealth redistribution, and government intervention in the free market!  How ironic.  We sent our children to Caesar for their education, and yesterday they voted just like Romans (the majority of 18-30 year-olds flooded the polls for Obama whether they were professing “Christian” or not).  These young people believe hatred and racism are America’s biggest problems, and that the election of Mr. Obama is the cure (along with Hate Crimes Legislation).  They believe America is evil because we don’t have universal healthcare like the Europeans.  They believe homosexuality is innate, the existence poverty is a sin, and abortion is an ethical (and completely personal) means of birth control.  They believe in anthropogenic global warming, Darwinian evolution, Gramscian Marxism, and Freudian Psychology.  In short, they believe what they’ve been taught during their 14,000 hours of government indoctrination.  And yesterday, we saw the culmination of this cultural hegemony as Obama beat McCain like a tied up goat.

But do not despair.  We survived Presidents like Wilson, Carter, and Clinton.  We can survive President Obama.  “...Even so, come Lord Jesus.” (Revelation 22:2)

  3. Kay and Marci,
I've just discovered him in the last month. Living without TV does have a few disadvantages (although I wouldn't change a thing!). I've liked pretty much all I've read so far.

  4. Uh, the Clinton administration was an especially wealthy period for America? And we balanced our budget instead of raising our debts to unprecedented levels.

I'd say we did more than survive?

    Maybe it's just me?

  5. I have never seen Voddie on tv, I was introduced to him on someone's blog. He stands for the Lord. We NEED more men of God like him.

  6. Well, Zoe, for me the economy was not the most important thing. Issues that are close to my heart are the protection of unborn babies, protection for babies that survive an abortion attempt, the moral character and values of the leader of our country, the protection of my constitutional freedoms, stopping the flood of illegal aliens that are costing our country millions of dollars a year, protecting my right to own a gun and so much more.

Also, we did not balance our budget...unless you go by Mr. Clinton's numbers...and we all know how he likes to play with words.

In my opinion, Mr. Clinton was one of the worst presidents we ever had...but then you and I appear to have polar opposite views in politics :)

  7. Yeah, but you still own guns, right? Soo... I don't see what the issue is here? I agree, we should be able to own guns. But have a carte blanch for everyone? Oh no. Some things just don't belong in the hands of civilians. I say that without reservation.

Also, ol' Willy signed the Defense of Marriage Act, which I think pretty much speaks for itself.

And all the budget stuff I'm seeing is looking like it's on my side. I'm even trying to find sources that say otherwise but none of them are what I would consider reputable.

Anyway, our politics are different, but we're still sisters in Christ, which is what is most important. :D

  8. Also, I think our views on abortion are at least similar but what we differ upon are the methods to introduce change. ;)

  9. Cheri, I have heard Voddie speak on DVD several times. He is great! He stands for Biblical, Godly principles. He spoke at FBC in Sevierville several years ago.

Clinton cooked the books. He changed the way numbers were reported, but why should that surprise us. Our problem today in Washington is that one party is amoral and one is immoral. We need a revival in this country and a stand on Biblical principles.

  10. Zoe,
The fundamental difference, I think, is that:
    1. Having worked on the Hill with these people for years...I have learned to ignore what they say and watch their behavior - who gives them money and how do they vote...

    2. If they don't support the Constitution, ALL of the Constitution, then I'm not interested in them....most of them don't.

    3. If they are proponents of growing Government (spending fiendishly, raising taxes, adding bureaucracy, and reducing our freedoms) I'm not interested in them.

    4. Learn who their associates are, who has their ear, what "organizations", clubs etc. do they belong to...

    5. What is their personal character, moral behavior etc. like....if they make poor choices in their personal lives, have great moral failings, are dishonest with money etc. then I have learned through history that it also affects their public lives.

I don't like politicians....I want statesmen and unfortunately we probably don't have a handful on Captiol Hill that truly care more about the best interests of this country than they do their own self interests.

  11. PS :)

Not everyone in this country has a right to own guns....but most of us do. It is a right guaranteed by the Constitution. If you look back in history, just before a country lost its freedom, it always lost its rights to own guns. Our founding fathers knew this and that it is why it was so important for them...and is imperative for us, to keep that right.

There are already too many restrictions in reference to gun ownership. I expect to see many more either attempted or implemented. It does not bode well for our freedom...for after all...if our guns are taken away from us...you know the criminals will still have them...and the black market will flourish.

    Blessings,
    Cheri

  13. Cheri,
Voddie is featured with his daughter in a great documentary -- 'Return of the Daughters'. He is a great role model!

Everyone who questions the right to bear arms should read up on the Warsaw Ghetto uprising...

Thanks for being such a blessing Cheri :)

  14. I agree with most of this piece, but not with his statement alleging that homosexuality is not inherent. It is not a choice, it is inherent. Homosexuality is seen in the animal kingdom, so why would we doubt it is inherent?

  15. Nancy,
I'd have to disagree with you there for many reasons.
Homosexuality is a rarity in nature and is considered an aberration. Science doesn't prove out your theory.

History also indicates that although homosexuality has appeared it was never to the extent we see it now. Whenever a society has embraced homosexualtiy, as our is doing, it has ALWAYS led to the fall of that society.

There are to many homosexuals who have left that lifestyle because they desired to do so ....if it was inherent they would be unable to do that.

I also don't believe that our loving Father would make something inherent in a human being and then condemn that as sin.

That being said....our Father loves homosexuals as he does all sinners....which is everyone of us. However he abhors the lifestyle that they have chosen...as he abhors all sin in all of us.

    Blessings,
    Cheri
