O Praise Him

Last Christmas season, my boys and I attended a Civil War Ball in full Civil War dress.  At the end of the ball a large group of us went to Walmart still in costume and asked permission to carol in the store.  We spent about 45 minutes walking through the entire store and singing Christmas songs.  We avoided songs like Frosty the Snowman and instead picked Christmas Hymns and songs that exalted the birth of Jesus Christ.  We were a bit nervous...we weren't sure how we would be crossed my mind that tomatoes are available in Walmart and it usually isn't hard to find a rotten one or two.

We were amazed. People, both customers and workers, stopped what they were doing to watch.  Some filmed us with their cell phones, some smiled, some sang with us and more than one had tears rolling down their cheeks. We saw no negative reactions. Just think, 30 minutes of Jesus's name being exalted in all of the aisles at Walmart.

Imagine...what would happen if all of us who call Him Father could be this to stop and worship Him as He leads without worrying about what others would think or how we look to others.  If we could get US out of the way, I believe we would once again make a huge impact on this fallen world.

Will you worship Him with me today....
