Elegant Beginnings....

The first weekend of December is filled with elegant happenings for our family. It starts with our little town's gathering to sing carols and light the town tree.

Then singing Christmas hymns for the public.

On to enjoying friends playing classical music at a local coffee shop. Did you know Mozart wrote a piece entitled the Tabletop Duet?  The music sits on a table top between two musicians - one is viewing the music AND playing it upside down!  Seriously. It was written to harmonize that way and these ladies did it beautifully!

Next a step back in time to attend a Civil War Ball.  Elijah seems to be caught between hoops....

On to lift the name of Jesus through the aisles of Walmart - it is becoming a tradition each year. They touch hearts, people cry, it is amazing...

What an amazing group of young people!  We are thankful for each and every one of them.

Although the beginning of December is filled with lovely, classical, elegant activities, it quickly takes a turn for the worse....

Join me next time to see the other side of the coin!

Blessings!

  1. Off to look into that duet, and praying the turn your December takes isn't too unmanageable.
